Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
My baby crawled around in the playpen as I worked 12-hour days in sanding floors and taking down the wallpaper. Ha! We were getting close to finishing, but it was still a long way off. This was going take the time, energy, as well as my personal favorite for furniture to decorate this home. To keep the budget in check, I began going to estate sales with my three brothers to search for gems hidden in the dirt. Our routine was of walking around garage sales and auctions on Sundays and Saturdays and purchase a range of old pieces and new constructed. My work days were spent in the driveway either painting or sanding. My first impression was like... that's when my passion to restore furniture was born. After our home was furnished I couldn't stop! There was a spot at the local markets in which I sold my items. In the end, I accumulated more items that I could decide what to do with and outgrew the space. Over 1000 people visited my house in one weekend, to shop for everything on the ground floor. Growing Days is the result of all this. My business was booming and my family was also growing. The balance between work and family was crucial for me. I wanted to balance being a mother and a successful business owner. Growing Days just seemed to be the right fit. Nora my 4th child was born in 2013. The direction of my business was excellent, however I needed to rest for a while. I decided to put off building my old furniture and stay home with the kids. That was exactly what I needed at the moment. Within a couple of months, my phone started to ring. People contacted me asking for help with interior decor and home renovations. The majority of people who contacted me were from those who came to my house at one of my furniture open houses. It wasn't long before I had a fully-fledged home renovation company. It began with taking clients one by one in a manner that I could be at ease with. Had you told me my venture would end up being an idea for the DIY Network show, I might have been astonished. In fact, I do laugh when I think about the idea.
