Richard Bruce Cheney was born in Lincoln Nebraska on January 30 1941, the son of Richard Herbert Cheney and the former Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. The family was moved from Casper, Wyoming with his family when he was 13. He was raised by his father who worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture was the director of the conservation district of Casper.
